Historic tavern located right on the Providence River, on the east side of the pedestrian bridge. The building itself is very cool, it’s pretty roomy and the old style brick walls will make you feel like you drinking in a true colonial tavern. I enjoyed the beer list and they were all reasonable priced. They have a pool table, two dart boards, a couple TVs, and someone even came in with a chess set, so plenty of stuff to do. I was able to get in with my Colorado ID without an issue. It’s also close to downtown, so easy to find other places if you’re bar hopping or just aren’t feeling the vibe.
This is my new favorite go-to bar in Providence. They have a great atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights, and there’s a free pool table and free dart board. The drinks are cheap, too!
Did not eat anything but great service and atmosphere for a few drinks. Huge selection and bar staff know their stuff.
The Wild Colonial is a traditional Irish Pub in Providence on South Water Street. There are several local beers on top, and the bartenders really know how to make a great cocktail. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is fun. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Stone and brick walls on the inside give it an authentic Irish Pub feel. There's plenty of parking. The food is great too I highly recommend the nachos.
Awesome colonial factory style building. Beautiful! The beers are interesting (Belgians, porters and stouts) Food is great on portions and toppings. Great place to take a date.. or a group. Definitely has ambiance.. I you listen you can probably hear the ombudsman of old talking about old providence port!
1/2024 - 1st time here. They have darts.... 8/2024 - perfect stop after burgers/sliders/pretzels down the street. . Add a win tops it off.
Awesome local bar - had a party here for a friends 30th birthday and we had a fantastic time! Was never too loud or crowded, we could actually have a conversation and all hang out together. The drinks were delicious and really well priced! Highly recommended, especially for big groups.
First time visiting here and really enjoyed the ambiance with lots of original exposed brickwork and beamed ceilings. Service was excellent and a nice range of beers at reasonable prices. Pool tables and dart boards are available for further entertainment.
